A general Bayes weibull inference model for accelerated life testing

چکیده
ABSTRACT: This article presents the development of a general Bayes inference model for accelerated life testing. The failure times at a constant stress level are assumed to belong to a Weibull distribution, but the specification of strict adherence to a parametric time-transformation function is not required. Rather, prior information is used to indirectly define a multivariate prior distribution for the scale parameters at the various stress levels and the common shape parameter. Using the approach, Bayes point estimates as well as probability statements for use-stress (and accelerated) life parameters may be inferred from a host of testing scenarios. The inference procedure accommodates both the interval data sampling strategy and type I censored sampling strategy for the collection of ALT test data. The inference procedure uses the well-known Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods to derive posterior approximations. The approach is illustrated with an example.

Bayesian Accelerated Life Testing
In this paper a Bayesian approach for accelerated life testing will be considered. It will be assumed that the failure times at the different stress levels follow a Weibull distribution and exponential distribution, respectively. In accelerated life tests, the components are exposed to an environment that is more severe that the usual environment, such that the components will fail in a shorter...

9 This article develops a general Bayes inference model for accelerated life testing assuming failure times at each stress level are exponentially distributed. Using the approach, Bayes 11 point estimates as well as probability statements for use-stress life parameters may be inferred from the following testing scenarios: regular life testing, 7xed-stress testing, step-stress testing, 13 pro7le...
متن کاملBayesian Analysis for Step-Stress Accelerated Life Testing using Weibull Proportional Hazard Model
In this paper, we present a Bayesian analysis for the Weibull proportional hazard (PH) model used in step-stress accelerated life testings. The key mathematical and graphical difference between the Weibull cumulative exposure (CE) model and the PH model is illustrated. Compared with the CE model, the PH model provides more flexibility in fitting step-stress testing data and has the attractive m...
متن کاملNew Inference for Constant-Stress ALT with Weibull Distribution and Progressively Type II Censoring
Constant-stress procedure based on parametric lifetime distribution and model is often used for accelerated life testing in product reliability experiment. Maximum likelihood estimation is the typically statistical inference method. This paper presents a new inference method, named random variable transformation (RVT) method for Weibull constant-stress accelerated life test with progressively T...
متن کاملComparing the Shape Parameters of Two Weibull Distributions Using Records: A Generalized Inference
The Weibull distribution is a very applicable model for the lifetime data. For inference about two Weibull distributions using records, the shape parameters of the distributions are usually considered equal. However, there is not an appropriate method for comparing the shape parameters in the literature. Therefore, comparing the shape parameters of two Weibull distributions is very important. I...
